Shannon DotyShannon turned to yoga after 15 years as a massage therapist. Yoga became a tool that helped her body heal therapeutically from the stress and pain she was feeling. Shannon realized through her practice that she could give people the tools they needed to heal themselves. She became certified to teach yoga in October 2013. She strive to teach classes that encompass more than just the physical practice. Shannon incorporate philosophy, dynamic movement guided by breath, and meditation into every class that she teach. Her background in massage therapy has given her a strong foundation in anatomy. She utilize that knowledge to aid students in alignment and how to properly engage in the poses. Though there is an element of challenge, students are encouraged to explore movement, breath, and witness the possibilities as they unfold.

Elise CaldarolaElise began her yoga practice over 10 years ago when she was a college student in New York City. A classically trained ballet dancer since the age of 4, yoga was a natural fit for her physically but what kept her coming to class were the emotional and spiritual benefits that she experienced through her practice. Having dealt with chronic illness and autoimmune disease since her teenage years, Elise credits yoga with helping her stress levels under control, her mind calm and her body strong and flexible. Her yoga practice is one of the primary tools in her healing arsenal. A true teacher by nature, Elise is a former public school educator, state certified K-12 and adult, thus bringing many years of teaching experience into her yoga classes.
Elise completed her 200 hour teaching training in 2018 at Yoga Haven in Scarsdale, under the instruction of owner Betsy Kase. In 2019, she completed an additional 300 hour training at Anamaya in Costa Rica, under the instruction of Jacqueline Chiodo of Joyful Yoga. When she is not on her yoga mat, you can find her traveling the world with her husband and two small rescue dogs. |
